Are you creating your first e book? Publishing e books has become a hot trend in
recent years and with the advancing technology, more people are getting involved with it. Some of them do pretty well but others do not, and what makes the difference is knowledge; the successful ones know what they are doing.
Here are some tips if you are just started out creating your first e book:
1) Write from authority. You gain authority by having lots of active vocabulary in the topic you are writing and you can write passionately. This might come from your experience or research.
2) Get organized. It means having a clear picture of where it starts and ends. You will be collecting materials along the way and if you have no system of organizing stream of info when it arrives, you could end up in chaos.
3) Research. No matter how well you know your topic, you should be able to answer the question: What they WANT to read?' There is no point in writing and publishing something no one wants to read.
4) Outline. You should be able to come up with a good outline from your research above. Pick a sensible format to adopt and stick to the plan. Notice how the chapters are organized and the materials are presented therein.
5) Proofread. You can do this on your own or seek outside help, which can saves you lots of time and headache.
6) Pick the right format. Most e book nowadays comes in Pdf form. It used to be in some other forms but I strongly recommend you stick to what you readers want.
7) Research the target audience. You can do what a marketer would in this situation: offer a teaser. It can be as simple as a few pages from your newly created e book. Give it away for free and get their feedback. They will tell if that is what they want.
