The technique that a San Diego CEREC specialist uses for the restoration begins with tooth preparation. This material can be used for many different procedures, but the ceramic material can contract and expand according to temperature, so the composite is usually used for restoring the smaller inlays.

Although a ceramic crown is precisely fitted to the patient, it only takes about four minutes to make one. The cutting and shaping of crowns is done by diamond head cutters that are computer controlled.
