While it never really feels good to do it, sometime's it's what best. Breaking up with a girlfriend might not sound like a lot of fun, and trust me it isn't, but sometimes it's the best move for your relationship. At least, it's the best move for your relationship at the moment. That doesn't mean you aren't meant to be only that the relationship, as it is, isn't a healthy relationship for the two of you. But, what are some of the reasons that this is the decision that's best? Breaking up with a girlfriend should begin with some of these things: She Loves herself more than she Loves You This is one that isn't easy to overlook or overcome. If she doesn't love you at least as much as she loves herself you're going to have a difficult time working things out. Relationships are about compromise. You know, give and take. If she's doing all the taking and you're doing most of the giving (in an effort to make her happy) then it isn't a healthy relationship. It's also a sure sign that she loves herself more than she loves you. This is the time to call it quits and give her a definite wake up call. You Know You no Longer Love Her Perhaps you never loved her. Once you decide that you aren't going to "fall" in love with her it's a good idea to avoid leading her own. If the relationship isn't really going somewhere there's no point in sticking it out. It is kinder to end things now rather than going on ending after she has developed genuine feelings and hopes for the future. She isn't Good for You You know when a woman is good for you and when she isn't. Does she bring out the best in you and make you want to be even better? Not to please her but just to be a better person? If your girlfriend is pulling you down, making you feel worse about yourself, or sucking the life completely out of you then she isn't good for you and it's a good idea to make changes or move on. Your Bad Times Outnumber the Good This is the sign of death for any relationship. Do you spend more time arguing than getting along? Are there days where you don't speak to each other much at all beyond the absolute necessities? How much time to you spend cuddling, talking, holding hands, or just enjoying being together? You might feel that there is no single best breaking up with a girlfriend reason but these are a few excellent reasons to call things off.
