If you have one available, it's a good idea to bring a laptop along. Even if you don't use it during the day's events, they make it easy to organize your notes and ideas after the workshops have ended.

Sometimes presentations run a little long or you get that nasty tickle in the back of your throat when speaker is presenting. Take a water bottle and perhaps a small snack with you for breaks.

You can never have enough pens and notebooks. Take a small notepad that can be tucked in your pocket or purse for those little moments of inspiration.

Don't forget to bring one of your teacher lanyards with you for showing off your conference credentials. Lanyards are also nice tools to have to keep pens or eye glasses close by.

Always look at the conference schedule before you get there. Decide which workshops and training sessions you want to attend, and opt for the sessions that will benefit you the most.
