What to Wear During an Interview

When going to an interview, looking your best is always necessary

. No one goes to an interview wearing white shirt and faded jeans. Believe me, going to an interview dressed like that is like suicide. To get the positive reaction you want, you must look nice and respectable.

Women who are scheduled for an interview should show up with their best clothes on. When I say best, I mean their professional clothes. Jewelries are encouraged but never wear the fancy ones. Just keep it elegant. A necklace pendant with stud earrings would suffice. Go anymore than that and you would surely attract negative attention. Whatever you do, do not go looking like a geisha. Let's leave the thick makeup to them. A simple blush on and a little powder is enough.

The colors of your clothes are also important. Dark blue, green, and beige are the recommended colors when going to an interview. This gives your employers a heads up that you consider yourself a professional and you want to be taken seriously. Do not wear shoes with heals rising to 2 inches or more. The last thing you want is getting yourself embarrassed when you accidentally trip. A good walk while your chin is lightly elevated is what you must do to send out a message to the employer that you mean business.

Very detailed accessories are a no-no. You are a professional, be one! Don't look like you're going to a party. It will only cause you to be a laughing stock at the workplace and everyone will have a bad impression of you.

You should not only look clean but you should smell clean as well. Make it a habit to take a bath regularly. You may be immune to your smell but if you smell pretty bad, others will notice it. You don't want to be known as the person who smelled bad. You will be talking a lot during interviews so be sure to brush your teeth. You can also use mouthwash just to be sure. Abstain from eating foods that will cause you to have bad breath.

In conclusion, just dress appropriately and avoid being a stinker. First impressions usually last so keep in mind that you should make your boss see that you are the best candidate for the job.
