Where To Get Free Nursing Ceus

Every two years we as nurses have to renew our licenses with our respective states

. And if you're like most nurses, you have a tendency to wait until the very end to do your continuing education courses required for license renewal. And this is fine, as now there are more free nursing CEUs on the internet than ever before. The internet has made life easier for people in so many ways, so its only natural that it should make the lives of nurses easier too.

The best thing about free nursing CEUs is, well, they're free. And you can complete them from the comfort of your favorite chair at home. The sites I will go over shortly have free nursing CEUs in almost every category you could imagine. From pediatrics and home health, to advanced critical care courses. And everything in between.

As I mentioned earlier a lot of nurses, not all, wait until they are forced to complete their CEUs before attempting them. I did this too for a long time. But several years ago I started taking free nursing CEUs all throughout the year. What I noticed was, I was on the internet a lot of the time anyway, finding out about something new to me related to nursing, so why not get credit for looking up these nursing topics?

So instead of looking up information by doing a simple search for it, I started searching on several sites I had bookmarked that offered free nursing CEUs. It would sometimes take me 5 or 10 more minutes to learn information this way, but I would have so many CEUs after a short time of doing this that I couldn't use all of them.

As of mid 2010 a lot states are allowing nurses to get all of their CEUs online instead of having to attend a class or seminar in person. This revelation is making getting free nursing CEUs from the internet a great time saver.
