Which Membership Model Should You Use? (Hint: There's One That's WAY Easier Than The Rest)
If you don't have a membership site cranking out automated money every month
, it's probably because you don't know HOW to make one or how to "do it".
Don't worry, almost everyone that doesn't have a membership site is in the same position. There are all these membership site scripts and programs on how to create them, but it can definitely be daunting. Even when it comes to monetizing... There's still so many, it's almost like there's too much to even pick out where to begin.
You've probably heard of fixed-term programs (Micro Continuity), $1 trials, free sites, and all the other models. There's so many... Which one do you use?
In this article, I'd like to discuss some models of membership sites, and which one I think is the best (and easiest!) so you can get rocking from the beginning.
Now, the first thing to say is that many people dislike membership sites because of the maintenance. They think they always have to labor to add new content and that it's more work than what return they get from it.
That's because they're using the wrong membership model. They aren't supposed to be hard to maintain, in case you didn't know. So which model do I think is best?
It's actually a relatively newer model, developed by Paul Evans. It's called Simple Six Figures, mainly because the possibility of hitting six figures per year (per site) is so easy and attainable, you'll be surprised.
Here's the gist of it:
If you say you're going to deliver one piece of content per month, people only expect one piece of content. Therefore, you don't need to go out and make more than one piece of content; you can do that yourself. So, we're talking MAYBE an hour for that.
Then, if you do a training call once per month, where people submit their questions beforehand (so you can look up the answers on Google), that's an extra 30 minutes to an hour.
What does that mean? You're looking at about two hours each month for maintenance. How's THAT for simple? And the best part is the price tag on a membership like this.
You may not know this if you've never had a membership site, but people usually stick around on a paid site for 3-4 months on average. But, with the Simple Six model, you price your membership site so low that it's pretty much a "forgettable price", like $10 or so. That way, it's such a low price that - combined with the monthly content AND live training call - they won't think twice about staying a member.
That's by far the best model out there since you overcome both membership attrition (what they call it when people quit your membership site and cancel their membership) and it's super simple to maintain, so you're not working overtime to keep the site together.
At this point, I think you're pretty interested in membership sites and using them to make an automated paycheck every month.
That's awesome, because I'm going to be holding a tele-seminar very soon on Simple Six Figures, what I talked about above. I'm going to show you how you can use it to make TONS of money, and even answer any questions you have about membership sites LIVE on the call! But, seats are limited, so if you want in, you'll need to secure your private access now: http://www.followtom.com/simplesix.html
Thanks for reading, and I'll see you on the call!
