On the other hand with an e-book and a clearly defined table of contents the reader can pick and choose the data they need while ignoring what they already know thus saving them the time and effort of having to sit through the other media presentations. The digital text product also allows the owner to copy and paste vital information to save in a file on their computer or to print for easier viewing and reading.

Information products made up entirely of text are also easier and faster to deliver to your customers than are video or audio merchandise. Because video and audio files are much larger they can be very difficult to download, especially for people who are relying on dial-up Internet connections. These files also take much longer to download from the server and occupy much more space on your hard drive.

Text based products also allow you to add a combination of different media such as graphs, colored charts and even audio and video elements to your PDF file for download. For the seller and creator text is certainly much easier to create than video and audio which requires certain technical skills to produce top of the line merchandise.

So, as you can see, because it's easy to create, easy to deliver, easy to download and store and easy to use or gather information from text remains the number one format for online information products on the web today, for both the home business owner and the consumer.
