Which Will Ferrell Movies Should You Watch?

Talented funny-man Will Ferrell has performed in a number of Hollywoods biggest comedies

. At more than a dozen films, however, Ferrells filmography can be a problem for viewers who only want to see Ferrells best work. For these viewers, which Will Ferrell movies should they begin with? Which ones are the best?

Ferrell has attracted fans around the world for his unique approach to comedy. After performing with The Groundlings, a sketch comedy group, Ferrells long stint with Saturday Night Live put him on the road to a prolific film career.

Ferrell has made three movies that focus on childrens themes: Elf, Kicking and Screaming, and Curious George. Though they have their high points, they are generally less interesting for adult viewers. Based on a series of childrens books about a little monkey and his friends, Curious George is the best of Ferrells movies for kids. Elf is also a strong candidate as Ferrells performance as one of Santas elves that leaves the North pole has warmth and charm that has drawn several good reviews.

Ferrell has also starred in a number of adaptations of American television shows. Both Bewitched and Land of the Lost update programs from the small screen. Though Land of the Lost has the bigger budget and more special effects, Bewitched has the cleverer premise.

Of all of Ferrells films, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Blades of Glory are the funniest and most characteristic of Ferrells individual style. The last film in the comedic trilogy, Blades of Glory pokes fun at the world of figure skating. It follows Ferrells other sports parody, Talladega Nights wherein comedian Sacha Baron Cohen joins Ferrell in lampooning the drivers of NASCAR. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is the best of these three films. Playing a TV newscaster in San Diego, Ferrell uses this set-up to deliver some of his most surreal jokes and gags.

On the whole, Will Ferrell movies are a good use of your time. They will provide you with lots of laughs.
