Why Do We Need An Alternative Energy Source

. Apart from this, they are used for other purposes as well. It's high time we switched to alternative energy sources as fossil fuels are non renewable. The importance of using renewable and environmental friendly energy sources needs to be realized by the entire world before we face a major crisis. With the advancement in technology, using alternative energy sources such as solar power, nuclear power and wind power will be easy. An advantage of using renewable sources is that the economy will improve and at the same time this will lead to the creation of job opportunities.

Nature is Gods gift to mankind. Sun and wind can be used free of cost as nature doesnt expect anything in return from us. Electricity can be generated with the help of solar and wind energy. There are numerous reasons as to why we need an alternative energy. The prices of fossil fuels are rising; the oil reserves are at the verge of getting depleted and moreover they contribute to global warming. Shortage in the supply of crude oil has become a major crisis in few countries but in the case of alternative energy sources like solar energy, wind energy, bio fuels etc there wont be a shortage and moreover there will be abundant supply of these renewable energy sources.

Usually countries that do not produce crude oil or natural gas import them from major oil producing countries but this will not be a concern if people switch to an alternative energy source. The price of renewable energy sources will be stable unlike the prices of fossil fuels, which keep fluctuating quite often. It's our responsibility to keep our environment clean and free from pollution. Global warming can be prevented to some extent if people start realizing the importance of using renewable energy sources, as they are environmental friendly unlike fossil fuels. This we future generations will live in a safe and clean environment. alternative energy sources can be used for numerous purposes such as cooking, heating and generating electricity.

alternative energy sources offer numerous benefits and they have just one or two disadvantages. Some people hesitate to switch to using solar energy due the huge investment but incentives can be availed and more over it is a long-term investment, which will not go waste. Also, the price of such renewable sources will come down if the demand increases. Undoubtedly, alternative energy sources area great replacement for fossil fuels such as crude oil. Unless and until we start using renewable sources, it's difficult for us to save our own planet and it's always better to be well prepared so that we will have an alternative energy source which will be useful during times of crisis such as price fluctuation and shortage in supply of fossil fuels.
