Why Do You Own A Gun?

If you are a user of guns what do you use it for

? Do you use it to protect what is yours or to kill the food you eat? Did you do the safety course or are you one that has had the gun before this was made into law. Now days anyone that buys a gun is required to take a gun safety course. The guns serial number is also send to the police station so that it can be up on file. Doing this will save you if the gun happens to be stolen or lost but if you do not report this you are held responsible and could find yourself in jail. Gun rules have changed a lot from olden times with some of them so crazy that you might not even understand them even after reading.

With being the user of a gun you should learn how it works and then each time you shot it clean it. Doing this will help keep this gun working right and if something were to break you might be able to fix it yourself. This is not the best thing to do as it is probably under a warranty for so long. During this time you will have to take it to a gun smith to get it fixed. Some of you just might use your gun for target practice. This you usually do for fun. You might get into a gun club or go with your friends for a hunt. This hunt might be for turkeys or something bigger.

Some of you might only have guns for show. You might have special cabinets that you store them. You might even have a metal cabinet with a special lock so that only you can get in it. You might even be someone that only goes to gun shows and dreams about the kind of guns you would like to own. You might have to keep your at someplace besides your place as you can not have one in the home. This might be because you rent a home or your wife does not feel comfortable with one in the home.

What ever you have for a reason to own a gun make sure that you follow all of the rules and laws in owning this gun. It can save you in a flash or be used against you the next. If you have any of them in the home make sure that they are never loaded. If children are around never allow them near them alone.
