Why Is Australia Such An Attractive Destination For Brits?

These days it seems as though more and more people from the UK are opting to move abroad

. There could be many reasons for this and in some instances, it could be because they are sick of the dull, grey weather that never seems to end in Britain. Even during the summer there is a chance of rain, so it makes sense that many people want to escape the drizzle.

Alternatively, they may have been travelling and fallen in love with a particular destination, meaning they want to spend an extended period of time there, or even relocate permanently. In some cases, it could be that people have friends or family members who already live abroad and want to join them because they appear to be having a better quality of life.

But where to move to? There are thousands of options and many people choose to stay fairly close and head to France or Spain. However, Australia is another option and even though it is halfway around the world, it seems to be a popular choice among people from the UK.

There are many reasons for this, although one of them is bound to be the impressive climate. The northern and central parts of the country are very hot and dry and may be a bit too much for those who are not used to such temperatures. However, the south-east coast has a much more temperate climate and has mild winters followed by bright, hot summers.

As a result, many of the countrys major cities are located around the south-east. Sydney will undoubtedly be one of the most popular destinations for Brits as it has a lot to offer. The city has some to some stunning landmarks, including the famous opera house, which looks out over Sydney Harbour. There is also a beautiful park in the centre of the city that people can relax in during the lunch break, while Darling Harbour provides a more peaceful alternative to the main port.

The great thing about having so many cities near the coast is that it is also easy for individuals to head to the beach. As well as getting the benefits of living in the city, such as the shops and employment opportunities, individuals can be lying on the beach soaking up the sun or trying their hand at surfing after a bus journey out to the coast.
