They have to see the opportunity that you are presenting to them, and the only way for them to "see" it is for it to actually be there. Furthermore, you have to have legitimate relationships with others. Not passing interests in the night. While social networking is great for breaking the ice with contacts, it will not do all the work for you.

No, for success, you need to market your opportunity. It needs to be an effective one. And it needs to be good enough so that you can get others to believe without having to overexert yourself. In other words, the product must be able to "sell itself." If you have a difficulty understanding how the system works, then you will likely have a difficult time selling it. So before you try to convince others, make sure that you can be convinced yourself.

From there, it's about more than spamming others. You can send out as many "friend" and "follow" requests as you want, but in order to be successful, you have to get them off the social networking sites and foster strong, positive relationships with them. That means showing them they are more to you than just dollar signs. They are people that you want to help succeed. People you will be as committed to as you are your own success. If you cannot make those commitments, then MLM won't work. But if you handle your opportunities wisely and effectively, you can be just as successful as ever.
