The Hampshire New Forest was originally a medieval hunting ground created by William the Conqueror in 1079. Recently turned into a National Park in 2005, it contains very important woodland pastures, heaths, bogs and remains of 17th, 18th and 19th century coppices and timber plantation. The forest covers South West Hampshire and extends to South East Wiltshire.

Among other attractions in the New Forest are the Furzey Gardens, Lepe Country Park, Moors Valley country park, New forest water Gardens and Spinners Garden.
