Why holiday in New Forest

The Hampshire New Forest was originally a medieval hunting ground created by William the Conqueror in 1079. Recently turned into a National Park in 2005, it contains very important woodland pastures, heaths, bogs and remains of 17th, 18th and 19th century coppices and timber plantation. The forest covers South West Hampshire and extends to South East Wiltshire.

Imagine taking a holiday in this historical and magnificent New Forest area with your loved ones and family? This is a landscape to explore and discover. You can walk, cycle or ride a horse to be acquainted with the forest, its coast and villages. There are many circular and linear routes to be enjoyed by walkers and picnic sites with toilets. You can get a local expert guide to show you the history, folklore and amazing natural beauty of the forest.

There are many gardens and parks, museums, historic houses and wildlife to explore, and an abundance of activities to engage yourself and your family in. The Beaulieu Gardens in Rutherford is home to the beautiful Wilderness garden, Victorian's garden, ornamental vegetable garden, Mill Pond walk and other sites. You can also visit the Estate's Vineyards on visiting Beaulieu. Another spectacular place to visit in the New Forest national park is the Exbury Gardens and steam railway. The garden extends to 200 acres of horticulture variety and inspiring natural grandeur. It is world renowned for its Rothschild collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and rare trees and shrubs. The daffodil meadow, Azalea Bowl, Herbaceous and Grasses Garden, Exotic Garden and Japanese maples with lovely ponds, shady riverside walks and the collection of Nyssa and Oxydendrum, all invite you for the luxury of mind and soul. The steam railway journey lasts for 20 minutes, taking you around the northeast corner and through Summer Lane Garden. During the journey you will encounter a bridge tunnel, viaduct and the Exbury North halt. The garden has a gift shop, plant centre, restaurant, tea rooms and a chauffeur driven buggy service. Among other attractions in the New Forest are the Furzey Gardens, Lepe Country Park, Moors Valley country park, New forest water Gardens and Spinners Garden.

It doesn't matter what kind of a holiday you are looking forward to this time. A New Forest Holiday can cater to all your fantasies, adventure, and indulge you in a heart warming experience, which you will take home with you happily.
