They often find it to be a hectic task to control the traffic in the most efficient manner. It is for this reason that as the technology has advanced through the ages, so has the imaginations of the human kind to meet the necessity of the ordinary life and it is for this very reason that recently the invention of the Infrared traffic has launched a surge of excitement among the public.
The Infrared traffic helps in several situations where the control of the traffic becomes almost impossible and it is in these situations that using the technology of the Infrared traffic, the traffic police department can easily control the traffic.
Firstly, the Infrared traffic is used for controlling not only the traffic but also along with that, it is use for controlling the toll taxes for several vehicles and along with that it is also used for controlling several kinds of road taxes fees and fines.
Secondly the technology is also used for finding the stolen vehicles and also for reading and scanning the images in a number plate for easy recognition of the vehicle.
The VNPR technology acts as a compliment to the previous technology. The full form of the VNPR technology is the Vehicle Number Plate Recognition Technology and it is mainly used for scanning and taking the images of the number plates of those vehicles that have committed a crime and then have fled immediately. It is for this reason that in the recent days the VNPR technology is readily used by several people who are inside the traffic departments and who have to deal with such kinds of problems on a regular basis.
The VNPR technology has an associated database which can be accessed after the image of the car has been taken and then the image is compared with that of the database. If the images match then it often becomes easy to track down the suspect and then sends him to jail for the crime that he had committed.
The VNPR uses an infrared device which is proficient in taking the images of the number plates of the cars. The number plate gets scanned immediately after the image has been taken. However one major problem with this kind of technology is that it can never be used when it is the case of moving objects; the image would get blurred. Also there is a problem of the resolution of the image of the number plates which is being taken.
