In a recent survey conducted by ASSOCHAM across nine prominent cities of India on the issue of 'Rising school expenses versus the dilemma of young parents', it is now 160% costlier to send a child to school in India excluding the tuition fee. Just imagine the average tuition fee for a private school in India works out to about Rs 35,000 annually. This has made parents choosy when it comes to choosing a school for their child. With approximately 65% of the parents of the opinion that more than

half of their salary was spent on their child's education another group of parents felt schooling was literally drained out the income.Many parents felt education had turned into a lucrative business and a higher the fee didn't necessarily correspond to a higher quality of education.
