Will Begging Your Ex to Come Back Save Your Marriage After Cheating

One of the saddest things about marriage is that many people don't truly appreciate what they have until it's gone. When your marriage has ended because you cheated on your ex, your every waking moment may be dedicated to thoughts of how to get your ex back.

You know NOW what your marriage means. You understand NOW how important your spouse and the family you've worked so hard to make mean. Now, it feels like it's TOO LATE.

And you know, without a doubt that you'd do ANYTHING to get your ex back and make your marriage work.

You've been taught poorly by Hollywood films and romance novels about what the next move on your part should be. You've been led to believe that there are some things that will win the heart of your ex each and every time.

While it is TRUE that there are some things that are highly effective when you want to get your ex back after cheating, these are often NOT the things that you're seeing in movies or reading about in books.

Flowers?

This one is specifically for the men who have cheated on their wives. Husbands aren't often swayed by flowers at all but neither are women in this particular situation.

There aren't enough flowers on the planet to make your wife suddenly forget you cheated on her and go back to pretending that everything is OK in your marriage.

Flowers look like a great gesture. They work for small things like not taking the garbage out, getting into a contest of wills with her father, or tracking mud through her freshly cleaned carpet. But it's going to take a lot more than flowers to save your marriage after you've cheated.

Gifts?

You can try to buy your ex back after cheating but most of the time you're only renting time with your ex and not creating a foundation for lasting peace that will save your marriage.

It really is true that you can't BUY love. You can buy a few more days, weeks, or months. In the end though, the truth is going to come out and you're both going to realize that nothing has really changed. You're still in the same emotional position and that doesn't bode well for your efforts to get your ex back.

Begging?

This is the big one. Hollywood would have you believe that all you need to do is beg, bargain, and plead to win the heart of your ex all over again. You've been led to believe that begging will get you out of all kinds of jams with your marriage.

Promises are too easily broken and bargaining only makes the entire position look week. Begging, unfortunately, is more likely to serve as a turn off for you ex rather than the "turn on" you're going for.
