Yeast Infections - Alternative Candida Treatment For Women
Yeast Infections - Alternative Candida Treatment For Women
Yeast infection is often called vaginal candidiasis. Its symptoms are often nonspecific which means other diseases can also have the same symptoms. The symptoms are itching, burning, and soreness in the vaginal area; experiencing pain during sexual intercourse and during urination; and discharges of thick, white , and odorless fluid - something like cottage cheese. While there are many drugs on the market for curing and/or preventing yeast infections, natural remedies can be even more effective in treating yeast infections.
1. Soak a tampon in a cup of water to which you've added a few drops of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil contains the vital ingredient, terpinen-4-ol, that kills bacteria and Candida yeast, a type of a fungus. Insert the tampon and wear a pad to catch drips. Repeat three times a day until the yeast infection is gone.
2. One such home remedy is to use apple cider vinegar and to apply it on the infected area. You can also use garlic to help ease the itching.
3. Yogurt is a top choice for many women when they have an infection. I am not talking about eating yogurt but applying it directly to the infection. Yogurt has Lactobacillus Acidophilus in its ingredients, which is found in a healthy vagina. There are a few ways that are commonly used to apply yogurt to the infected area. The first is freezing the yogurt and inserting it into the vagina like you would a tampon. The second is using a syringe that does not have a needle on it to apply the yogurt into the vagina. The third is to coat a tampon in the yogurt and insert the tampon into the vagina.
4. Another way that you can use garlic as a remedy for a yeast infection is to blend peeled garlic cloves in a food processor and add water. This will make a paste that can then be inserted into the vagina. The benefit to this garlic remedy for a yeast infection is that you can also use it as an external remedy for a yeast infection. To do this all you need to do is apply some of the paste to the infected area surrounding your vagina.
5. Buttermilk has also been proven to be very helpful to stop the itching. Drinking about two cups helps reduce the probability of infection.
6. If you combine garlic oil with diluted apple cider vinegar you will have yet another remedy for a yeast infection. This treatment is usually used as a bath soak. Just add it to your warm bath water and soak for about twenty minutes. Make sure to fully dry your vagina to prevent the growth of yeast. You can also use this as a douche.
