Will The New Health Care Reform Plan Really Put More People On Medicaid?

The new health care reform has many people up in arms mostly because they are afraid

that this plan is going to put more people onto Medicaid then in the past but the Medicaid numbers that are projected for the new plan show a very slight increase in the number of people that are going to be added to this government health insurance program. As a matter of fact all those who are going to be added are for the most part going to be paying their own way with some impoverished grown-ups and those working for small businesses being able to get vouchers to help them pay for their health insurance.

Overall, the plan seems a decent, but the number of people who will always be insurance for free will not actually be increasing even if you feel the people out there talking about health care reform plan as a sort of Robin Hood type with the intent to steal from the rich to give to the poor, is really not that extreme. In fact, the thought process seems to be that more people are included in the plan, the greater the risk pool and that means less overall cost of health insurance for everyone.

Of course, some small business owners are frustrated that they must now ensure all their employees, but they will receive government money to do this if they are not financially strong enough to do them themselves and all this will help reduce the cost structure of healthcare in this country. It is important to ensure that everyone has coverage, because it is the best way to make a difference.

Although it may seem that providing these individuals with health coverage will be too expensive, one of the largest expenditure in the health system is at the cost of these uninsured patients and the bills that are left behind. These laws are not paid, but eventually translate into higher costs for those who are insured.

Let's face it, the system is not perfect and the new health care reform is not going to be either but it is important to realize that these changes are being made out of necessity for the entire health care system and for the financial stability of the government as well. It is important to realize this and even though Americans may not want this change it is coming their way like it or not.
