This new creation has added a lot of flexibility and convenience to customers thanks to its easy installation and ability to be taken with you. Not to mention, it avoid issues with HOAs and more. 1. Some dogs will run through the fence.

Certain types of dogs have a tendency to not respect the wireless fence. If they get a scent, their natural instincts can very well keep them going through the fence and once they try to return to the yard, the beeping and shock may deter them. In these instances, a solid solution is to make sure these dog's hair is kept short and the larger prongs are used to ensure a stronger charge. This may be enough to discourage the dogs. One may also want to consider also adding a traditional fence as well.

2. Size limits of a wireless dog fence.

These fences also are not suited for larger yards. They can cover a range of up to 1/3 an acre but can only do so in a circular design. This can be problematic for people who have a bigger yard. One solution can be to buy two of them and have them overlap. This can provide greater range if the yard is more rectangular in shape. However, even here, there will be some areas where the wireless fence will not extend.

3. Subject to power failures.

These systems also use batteries and access to a power source. If the power source goes down, so does the fence. This means the dogs are free to leave the yard without any deterrent. This is one reason why its important to be vigilant when bad weather is in your area. If you are out of town, it is best to have the dogs stay at a kennel or a friend to ensure their safety.

By keeping these issues in mind, you can determine whether a wireless dog fence is right for you and your home.
