Televisions shows such as Charmed, and books Harry Potter have made many readers crave stories of the mystical and magical

. Ask any teen what type of books they enjoy reading the most and they will undoubtedly tell you the Twilight Series or perhaps Lost City (which is also a series.) Authors everywhere are trying their talents at writing witchcraft books.

Witchcraft books are not just for teens. Adult author Nora Roberts has written witchcraft books for years. Her books deal more with witches and romance, but still enticing the reader with a magical spell to make them want to read her next book. Witchcraft books offer the reader something other books don't, an alternate reality that we can believe.

Witchcraft books, even if they are fiction have some base of truth, depending on the author. There are many practitioners around today that practice the age old spiritual path and whether you believe that they are fighting off demons to save the world or casting curses on those that wrong them... reading a witchcraft book makes you stop and think for a moment.

You begin to wonder if you possess any of those powers, or at least ponder the thought of how your life would be different if you did. Reading a witchcraft book may make you curious enough to read a book about witchcraft. You may be someone that enjoys television shows and movies about witchcraft, books just don't make it real enough for you.

There are a number of televisions shows and movies that you can watch, going all the way back to Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. No the later of those two has nothing to do with witchcraft, but it does dabble in magic and making wishes come true. More recent televisions series would include Charmed, and Angel (though Vampire related did include witches in the story line from time to time.)

There are movies galore the deal with witchcraft such as The Covenant, The Blair Witch Project, The Wizard of Oz, Hocus Pocus and the Chronicles of Narnia. For more mature audiences that are into the spells and how they can used to change your life there are movies such as Practical Magic, Darkness Falls, Black Magic Woman, The Witches of Eastwick, The Crucible and the Witches to name a few. A simple internet search will provide you with a plethora of titles.

It doesn't matter whether it is around Halloween or another time of the year, witchcraft books and movies intrigue us all. For those that want to investigate a world of magic and intrigue find a witchcraft book or movie today. Sit back and enjoy the spell that is being cast on you.
