Stun guns are another great device for self defense. An assailant when stunned by the gun will immediately fall to his knees. The prongs on a Stun Gun when touched provide high voltage for about half second and render your attacker helpless. Its design, a cell phone is very concealable, makes a loud and intimidating noise and has a LED light but will not cause permanent or serious injuries. This weapon can be carried on your person or in your handbag.

TASER, which is an electroshock weapon, controls the motor and sensory nerves. This device will take your attacker down immediately. The TASER C2 is considered the most popular tool in civilian use. It will fire up to 15 feet and the effects will last for many seconds. The TASER also penetrates up to two inches of clothing.

No matter which self defense weapons you should choose it is a wise decision. Make sure while shopping for your device you feel comfortable with the weapon you choose. Learn how to use it properly, practice with it. Most importantly you have to make sure you have it with you at all times, if you don't carry it, it can't help you.
