The Small Business Association (SBA) makes loans from $500.00 to $25,000.00 for general business ventures. The SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership assists individuals by providing classes and seminars in small business ownership and tactics. A well-informed business owner is more likely to be a successful business owner. Business owners create jobs, and jobs create economic growth. It is well documented that female entrepreneurs are generating billions of dollars in today's economy.

Not all business ventures will need loans and financing. There are so many ways that a woman can start her own company, the list is virtually endless. Debbi Fields, of Mrs. Fields Cookies fame, decided that she wanted to make extra income by baking and selling cookies. The same interest and passions started the Hannah Banana Bread company. Moms with young children decided to do what they do best, in this case, baking, and their businesses took off. Women today are flocking to the world of multi-level marketing as independent contractors. They are hosting Pampered Chef parties, and Scentsy Parties, they are delving into the world of Food Storage Distributorships. There are billions of dollars spent in the health and beauty product arena, and women are becoming wildly successful at these types of home-based businesses. The online phenomenon of Affiliate Marketing is rapidly becoming the "go-to" work-from-home job for people who demand flexibility and ease with a good income.
