Wordly Wise 3000 Vocabulary Curriculum Demonstrates Power Of A Vision

I went to school for lots of years and don't recall ever even taking a vocabulary class

. So how can vocabulary outsell math, reading, writing and all the core subjects?

It truly amazes me. We carry lots of other vocabulary brands and they behave themselves just like a good vocabulary curriculum should. They sit on the shelf collecting cobwebs for the most part. Occasionally they might sell a copy or two to some poor customer who obviously never heard of Wordly Wise 3000.

Must be a new teacher?

So what's the deal? I know Wordly Wise 3000 is used in lots of schools but it's not just the school teachers that love it. Homeschool parents also buy it in large numbers. There is this buzz going... "Oooh, Wordly Wise 3000 Vocabulary". What's up with that?

I feel like I'm supposed to know these things because I own the company. No, not the Wordly Wise 3000 company, we're just an online store selling it. Good thing I don't deal directly with our customers because I would have to look really dumb trying to explain this stuff.

Hoping to solve this mystery, I set out to take a closer look. I really don't know what I was expecting to find but I was expecting to be impressed when I found it.

After reviewing all of the features, I did not find anything in particular that jumped out at me. But I did find what I believe to be the answer.

The publisher of this curriculum recognized the power of a vision.

They gave teachers a clear vision for what their students could achieve using this curriculum on a long journey from kindergarten to grade 12. They helped them to see their students learning 3,000 new words along the way. Students learn about 150 new words per year in the early years, then 300 new words per year after that.

The publisher wanted so much for teachers to catch this vision that they even changed the brand name from 'Wordly Wise' to 'Wordly Wise 3000'.

Teachers all across America caught the vision. Then they bought it and bought it and bought it. Today Wordly Wise is a favorite brand name for teachers of all grade levels.

Perhaps there are other explanations for the tremendous success of this brand. It might be attributed to some of the other great features offered by Wordly Wise 3000. After all, the curriculum has a reputation for being thorough, well organized and easy to use. But we have lots of other curriculums all loaded similar features. None of them have sales performance like this one. There has to be more to it. I believe the answer is in the power of the vision.
