You Already Have 85% Business Skills For An Online Home Business!
In everyday life people communicate with others, organize their office
or their home, balance their check book, persuade their kids to do
their chores, negotiate when buying a new car, and even do some kind
of selling. Everyone has these every day business skills, which it
takes to being successful in an online home business.
Communication
Even as babies we learn to communicate. When we want something we cry,
when our diaper is wet we cry, when we are hungry we cry, this is a
type of communication. As we get older we may throw a tantrum or two
to get our way. Then when we become adults we communicate with other
adults, either through our job, or over the phone, even to the grocery
store clerk. We are always communicating with someone.
Communication is a key skill in having an online business. Mostly
everything is done online through email, but on occasion you may still
have to call your prospects or they will call you with questions.
Remember when talking to them, they are people just like you and you
have had communication skills since a baby.
Organizing
Organizing is an everyday chore. We have to organize our bedroom as
kids, cause our parents told us too. We have to organize our school
work, cause our teacher told us too. And as adults, we organize our
home, our car, and our desk when we work from home, cause we want to.
We also organize our life. Maybe we need to work for two hours then
take the kids to school, having a home business we are able to do just
that. We organize our vacations we take every year. Some people even
organize the meals they eat every day.
Accounting
Not everyone needs to know accounting when having their home business.
Most of us have an accountant to do that. But we do all have
accounting capabilities, everyone I know has a check book, and they
balance it at least once a month.
We were all taught math in school and know how to add, subtract,
multiply and divide. So therefore everyone in their own way is an
accountant.
Persuasion
As children we grow up by persuading our parents to take us places,
maybe buying us an ice cream, or even having a friend spend the night.
As adults we persuade our children to do their chores or maybe even
wash our car when they get older, if they want to drive it.
When it comes to persuading our prospects to buy, that takes a little
finesse. Although now days you really do not have to persuade a
prospect to buy. In fact with good internet skills, they will want to
buy, because you showed them the solution to their problem.
Negotiating
We all have negotiation skills. Whether it be when it comes to buying
a new car, to getting a better price at a yard sale. We negotiate
with our boss for a well deserved raise. We negotiate with advertisers
for using banner ads, magazine ads, and other type of advertising for
our online home business.
There is negotiating going on in everyday life. You may negotiate for
a salad instead of potatoes at a restaurant, maybe for leather seats
instead of cloth in your new car, maybe even for a better deal when
buying something in bulk.
There is a little bit of a sales person in every one of us, even though
most of us will say, I am not a sales person! We use it in everyday
life, by even selling ourselves to show what a great person we our to
others.
All of these qualities are 85% of what it takes to be successful in an
online home business, and each and every one of you have them inside.
You just need to bring them back out. The rest is easy, all it will
take is action, persistence and a passion for your life and business
to be successful.
