Your ex is not aware that you know about the new relationship, so make a friendly call to your ex. Say that you were thinking of him/her and just wanted to know how he/she is doing. Your ex's reaction to your call should give you an idea of whether you should try to get your ex back or not.

If your ex is somewhat abrupt with you, then accept that your chances of getting back together again are not very good, and get on with your own life. However, if your ex seems to be really pleased that you have called, then call your ex from time to time - just on a friendly basis.

You have a good chance to get your ex back if it is a rebound relationship. Your ex will have to make a choice between you and the new person, and the chances are very good that your ex chooses to be with you again. Good Luck!
