Gloves

There are two types of gloves worn by cricketers. One of these has thick pads above the fingers and are worn by batsmen while the other is larger in size with a webby area between thumb and forefinger. Wicket keepers usually sport these as they give added protection.

Helmet

This is a vital piece of protective cricket clothing and worn by batsmen and sometimes the nearest fielder to the action. This protects against serious injury should the ball strike the players head.
