Zac Brown Band Tickets - Zac Brown Band Announces New Album
Zac Brown and his army of supporting musicians stomped onto the country music scene
in 2008 with a little bit of chicken fried, and they're out to prove they're not going anywhere. The Zac Brown Band is easily one of the most prolific country music acts of the year, and the crew has finally announced a release date for their much anticipated follow-up album to 2008's The Foundation.
Zac Brown Band will launch a new album titled You Get What You Give on Sept. 21, 2010, rousing up some more of the band's southern-tinged tunes for a full-length release that might just fare even better than the award-winning The Foundation. The band has already given fans a preview of what's to come on their upcoming album, playing a select few songs off You Get What You Give while on tour this summer.
Leading tracks for the forthcoming You Get What You Give include tour staples like "Colder Weather," "Who Knows" and "As She's Walking Away," already three fan favorites for this down-home country outfit. The genre-defying music of the Zac Brown Band is explored in depth in the band's upcoming album, but Zac Brown and Co. have their work cut out for them if they want to eclipse the success of their latest album release to date.
The Foundation, a 2008 gem, has collected a smattering of accolades, including a spot on Billboard's Top 20 albums of 2009. "Chicken Fried" led off the album with smashing success, soaring straight to No. 1 on the country charts and taking successive singles "Toes," "Whatever It Is" and "Highway 20 Ride" along with it.
Talking to Great American Country about what their new album holds, frontman Zac Brown said that the upcoming You Get What You Give "is representative of where we are right now. It combines elements of our southern rock and country roots, but also stays true to our jam-band style musicianship from the live show."
Indeed, the group is one of the most incredible country music outfits to catch in concert, selling out Zac Brown Band tickets to arenas all across the country. The band has been one hot nationwide act on this year's Breaking Southern Ground Tour, and the band has recently transcended genres even more by teaming up with alternative jam band Dave Matthews Band for a slew of concert dates this summer.
The "Chicken Fried" outfit joined perennial touring favorite the Dave Matthews Band for arena concerts at Citi Field in New York on July 16 and 17, also hooking up with Matthews' crew for a concert date at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. on July 23.
Zac Brown Band also has several more big shows coming up this summer and fall, including a date at Louisville's Hullabalou Festival in late July as well as their own Sailing Southern Ground Cruise on the Carnival Inspiration in early September.
