"Invalid Happiness" Is Crime!
"Invalid Happiness" Is Crime!
"Invalid Happiness" Is Crime!
Eminent scientists Frank Fenner and Martin Rees maintain that human extinction may come true within 100 years due to the 3 factors of population explosion , unbridled consumption, and new technologies.
Obviously, by our common sense, it must be so.
However, what is the driving force behind the 3 factors? And who are the criminals against the human?
Still, let us try to find the answers by our everyday common sense.
1. Extra Offspring
(a) Optimal Point:
Everything has its optimal point. To be too far beyond this point will do us bad rather than good. This is a ubiquitous common sense. Our number of offspring can not be an exception, either.
Before 10,000 years ago, the optimal number of offspring is the greater the better. This is because the determining factor for keeping DNA alive is the number of offspring rather than the provision of sufficient food and healthy environment, which were very abound then. The more offspring, the higher probability our DNA survive the various disasters including diseases, war, etc.
(b) Invalid Offspring:
Contrarily, when the population increase of our offspring goes far beyond its optimal point, the happiness comes from it will turn into suffering. Just like case we have today, the determining factor for keeping DNA alive at the optimal point has changed from the old day's number of offspring into today's insufficient food supply and unhealthy living environment.
(c) Invalid Happiness:
Since our happy feeling is controlled by our instincts, we still feel happy when we have our offspring being increasing. This happiness comes from our obsolete invalid instincts, which do not meet the requirements in today's new conditions, and therefore, the happiness we have from these instincts is literally invalid. That is, we still feel happy although they are going to make us extinct.
(d) Crime:
So, this invalid happiness is really a brutal crime. To deter the crime can naturally avoid extinction and make us survive forever.
2. Extra Consumption
Based on the similar reasoning for the extra offspring above, we have the following for consumption:
(a) Optimal Point:
The optimal point for consumption is obviously the point up to the 10,000 years -years-ago norm.
(b) Invalid Consumption:
Based on this optimal point, approximately, 99% of our today's consumption in rich countries is really extra in vain.
(c) Invalid Happiness:
Similarly, about 99% of our happiness from today's "unbridled consumption" is invalid based on 10,000 -years-ago norm.
(d) Crime:
So, this invalid happiness from extra consumption is a crime, which is going to make mankind extinct, too.
Extra Technologies
In the similar way, we can come into the conclusion that extra new technologies are a crime, too.
(a) Optimal Point:
The optimal point for new technologies is obviously the point up to the 10,000 years -years-ago norm, while ancient people searching food in nature where we can find something new to get food or other essentials better. It is not like today's scientists researching in laboratory for curiosity or money.
(b) Invalid Technologies:
Most of our today's new technologies bring us problems of maladaptation, including all kinds of environmental pollutions.
(c) Invalid Happiness:
Apparently, the happiness comes from developing new technologies is invalid based on the 10,000 -years-ago norm.
(d) Crime:
Owing to the ultra high sensitivity and low adaptability of mankind, naturally, to develop new technologies will very probably cause the human extinction eventually.
Conclusion
The driving force of the 3 factors making the human extinct is the invalid happiness of extra population, extra consumption and extra technologies.
The criminal is human beings ourselves.
