With the new health care reform package came many new laws that businesses of all types must adhere to. While these laws were designed to help the American people, as a whole, many businesses are finding that they are put in a difficult situation when it comes to benefit packages. Because of this issue, several large businesses and unions have applied for, and obtained, waivers to skirt the constraints of the new Obamacare program. To date, two hundred and twenty two companies have applied for these one year waivers, with more and more applying each and every day.The companies who have received the waivers include Universal Orlando, McDonald's, and Waffle House, just to name a few. This waiver allows the companies to keep the current amount of benefit coverage held, even if it fails to meet the new standards of the law.Since October of 2010, the numbers of companies applying for and obtaining these waivers has grown substantially.
