Who else is NOT happy with their article marketing conversions? Are you writing, and writing and WRITING some more... only NOT getting the sort of benefits you thought you would? Or even more commonly, are you trying to sell products with your articles, and finding that your conversion rates are so anemic... that you only make a sale or two a week, or month... and are ready to give up completely?

The truth is, I've been there. And it took me more than 1000 articles to figure out some pretty critical truths... and I've since written thousands more with far greater success than I initially dreamed possible.

And if you're selling affiliate products, like many article marketers, and content creators do... and NOT getting the sort of beautiful benefits you expected, if you are like me... the 2 simple tips below SHOULD help you double your conversion percentages, and make a lot more money to boot!

Tip #1: ONLY Sell Recurring Billing Products (or programs that pay you on a recurring basis for the initial sale)

This simple distinction transformed my business, and it's so super simple and obvious, I'm actually embarrassed I didn't start it sooner. Why? Because you get paid on an ongoing, automated basis for the first sale... and if you are picking good products and programs that offer REAL value to your readers, a significant percentage of them will renew month after month, year after year... paying YOU for work you did much earlier. (note: some services like web-hosting, auto-responders, keyword research tools and more have very high retention rates simply because they'd be DISRUPTIVE to the clients business to cancel. For this reason... they are GREAT programs to promote)

Tip #2: Pick programs with BIG brand awareness, Offline Advertising & Are NOT Digital Downloads

This is so important... and yet, most "newbie" article marketers, especially affiliates, think that ebooks and "get rich quick' programs are the ONLY things to promote. They're not... and as a matter of fact, they're actually the WORST things to sell with articles. Why? Which do you think converts better? A dating ebook... or a dating service that spends millions of dollars a month on TV, radio and print ads? A diet ebook or calorie counting program... or a world famous diet brand that most of your readers know about, and may trust already?

Quick tip? Check the EPC metrics for any program you promote (earnings per 100 visitors) and if it's NOT over 50 or 60 (preferably 100 or over) I say... STAY away!
