After three years away from the links, I decided to motivate myself to get back to the course by purchasing a new set of irons. After spending a month or two looking at reviews and visiting golf shops, I choose the 2009 Callaway X-Forged irons with Project X shafts. Although these irons costs a bit more money than I originally wanted to spend, I am happy that I decided to spend the extra cash. It did take some time to adjust to my swing to these clubs, but the extra time on the range has been well worth it. These clubs are SWEET! I have played golf for years and have never been able to stick my iron shots so consistantly near the pin. The thin topline, narrow sole and short blade length allow for excellent workability. The Flighted CG Design produces strong trajectories and premium distance control while the new Progressive Dual Notch Weighting allows weight to be precisely positioned for optimized performance throughout the set.
