3 Top Interviewing Techniques

The most important factor and the main asset behind the success of any organization

, business or company is the employee and when there are reliable, creative, hardworking and honest employees there will be success. Here are the three top techniques that you can incorporate in your interviews to make sure you only hire such individuals.

1. Test their ability to recognize, accept and resolve mistakes

You should not be satisfied if a prospective employee says that he can resolve certain problems pertaining to his job, he must also have the presence of mind to resolve it immediately without damaging the companys reputation. Issues can arise at any time; it might be an error caused by the employee himself or by someone else in the company. The prospective employee must be able to recognize the mistake before it gets out of hand and he must devise methods to get out of it. Ask your prospective employer if he made any mistakes while being in the past job and ask him how he solved the crisis and what he learned from it. If he says he has not made any serious errors, he is lying through his teeth; no one can make a minor error in business, it all becomes big eventually.

2. Gauge the knowledge the prospect has about your company

A person will apply for a number of jobs at the same time. Every employer knows that; so how can you make sure your company is not just one among many and just a number on his list. Ask your prospective employee what he knows about your company a little bit of its history, the achievements you have made over the years, mergers and acquisitions if youve had any, present competitors, rating of your company and so on. By watching his face while he answers, the flow with which he gives his facts you will know how serious he is about the job and whether he is interested in your company.

3. Test his confidence level

Your prospect should have a confidence level that will directly lead your company to success. You should ask how he plans to succeed in your company if he is hired. To know how he values his previous company or job you can offer to contact them. By watching his reaction you will know more about his character. If he looks away or fidgets, you know he is worried about something. However, if he looks directly into your eyes and is happy with your suggestion, then you have your man.

Therefore, when you are hiring new people for your organization, you must be extremely careful, leave your prejudices aside and hire only those people that will work towards steady success and well-being of your organization.
