3D Technology: Future of Visual Entertainment

Every field, be it banking, education, medicine, sports, or science breathes, lives, and move forward with the help of innovative breakthroughs. And entertainment is no exception. Moreover, entertainment has really large number of innovative changes since the time of its evolution. From times of Grecian plays in the open stadiums to the famous European operas, there have always been remarkable innovations. So is with the present day movies. From surround sound to sensational cinematography, movies have seen several technical advancements to which 3D technology is the latest addition.

Though 3D was present in the movie-sphere from the very beginning, it wasn't that popular then as it is today. With the technological advancement 3D movies came up with lots of sophistication added to it. From the usage of 3D glasses, 3D movie viewing became a glass-free adventure. The digital technology and evolution of IMAX made the movies more realistic and superior than before.

Just a few years back, very few 3D movies were being created every year. But last year there were more than 20 of them hitting the cinema theatres giving all the pleasure and thrill of movie viewing. Along with this, the movie loving and excitement hungry audiences were also served with a new era of digital and 3D Technology.

The Soccer World Cup in 3D was an entirely new usage of the technology that made sports come alive. Several TV companies came up with 3D TVs and DVDs, totally new products with purely new technology. Though these TVs and DVDs have not become as popular as the 2D ones, the craze for this latest group of TV sets are increasing day by day. Presently, these gadgets are priced too high partly because of the expensiveness of the technology and partly because of their being new in the market but the time is not far when popularity will bring the prices down!

3D has not left any sphere of visual entertainment. Now it is not restricted to movies alone. We experienced it in the sports last year, now the satellite channels are bringing up special programs using this thrilling and wonder awaking technology. In coming days, there are going to be special channels dedicated to exclusive 3D programs. Honestly, the future of visual entertainment lies in Three Dimension!
