Rule Nr 1, Know Yourself.

This is really the start of all online business planning, because the one man company is, what the owner is. It is important to identify your talents and skills and to be honest. Now you are making choices, which will influence during many years.

But do not worry, the task is not that difficult. You just have to recall, how you were at school, in the scouts and so forth. A useful thing is also to ask from your family or from other close person about the weaknesses and strengths. Finally you have to identify the strongest feature in yourself.

Rule Nr 2, Know The Market.

With the market I mean the online business market meaning the competitors, which work with the same strategy and in the same niche. That is useful to know, because you will get regular flow of tips from these marketers. It is even more important to know the leading competitors and to think, how have they reached the positions. You can even benchmark them.

Rule Nr 3. Know The Target Group.

The target group is the selected group of people, to whom you will offer benefits. To know the target group means the knowledge about their needs and wants, who they are, what mediums they read and which benefits they are waiting from the suppliers.

Rule Nr 4, Test Everything.

The internet market is very nice in that respect, that you can test most of the campaigns you will run. You can test different copies, templates, products and mediums. You will see, that even the smallest things will matter. So the testing should be a constant part of your marketing.

Rule Nr 5, Use The Tracking.

If the testing is important, so is the tracking. Tracking means, that you can see from the stats, which campaigns or mediums work. For instance, if you are testing something, the tracking should be an elementary part of the process.

As you can see, to succeed with the online business requires only studying and careful planning and testing. The rest is jut hard work. My point is that everybody, who really wants to succeed can do that.
