The latest mobile phone from Acer is a very impressive affair
. The new Stream handset works on the Android 2.1 platform and benefits from a super fast processor and some excellent facilities that will benefit most users.
The Acer Stream boasts a great range of media features that will satisfy the majority of phone users. With regards to storage, the phone comes with 2GB of memory pre installed, however a micro SD card slot allow for substantial expansion up to a mammoth 32GB. This means that you can really tailor the phone to meet your own demands. "GB is ample for general phone use, whereas people using the handset as an audio player will appreciate a bigger memory dependant on their music collection. Speaking of audio playback the handset can handle a wide array of formats that include MP3, WAV and eAAC+. The 3.5mm headphone jack opens up a practically limitless choice of headphones you can use with the phone. Still photography is well covered on the phone. The handset incorporates an impressive 5 million pixel camera. In addition to the fairly standard autofocus and geo tagging facilities, a clever image stabilisation feature helps to make your photographs as clear as possible by reducing shake when taking the picture. Video recording features are very impressive thanks to the ability to capture High Definition footage at a resolution of 720P and at a rate of 24 frames per second. A very neat inclusion is the HDMI socket, meaning connection to an HD ready television is simple.

Acer Stream is undoubtedly a great looking mobile phone. it is very simplistic in its looks, with the combination of dark aluminium and black gloss giving the phone a very expensive looking appearance. In terms of measurements the Stream is fairly standard at 119.5 x 63 x 11mm, although the depth is pleasingly slimline. At 140 grammes in weigh the phone is fairly similar to the majority of smartphones currently available. A real stand out feature of this model is the AMOLED screen. It size of 3.7 inches makes it ideal for playing back your media footage, and web pages look fantastic thanks to the impressive 1.6 million colours that it is capable of displaying. Zooming is easy thanks to multi touch technology that enable the phone to use the much favoured pinch and zoom method. The Acer Stream is a very impressive smartphone. Not only does the handset look great, but it is backed up by a great specification and very user friendly features that many of the so called "bigger" brands would be proud of.
