I would like to tell you a story of something that happened to my family once. I have 4 boys and we lived on a section of land which was undeveloped. Anyway, one day a neighbor who lived close by had some friends to visit him and they had 2 boys about the same ages as our two older boys. The 4 boys (our two and the 2 visitors) decided to take the bikes for a ride up to the gravel pit and back. I said sure, go ahead. Well when they got to the gravel pit they put their bikes down and hiked into a lake which was about mile away. Anyway when they went to go back to the bikes they got turned around and headed through the bush in the wrong direction. They had walked for quite a long way when they realized that they were lost! But our little dog Cocoa was with them and Garry (one of my boys) sternly told Cocoa to go home. She whined a bit, but after being told the same command started off in the opposite direction. The boys followed her and the dog led them to a neighbor's place where the boys then knew where they were and were able to get home safely. Had they carried on the way they were going they would of had to walk another 20 miles before they would have reached a road. We were sure glad the dog was with them that day and of course we were glad to see the boys safely home again.
