A Good Engagement Photographer

Did you just get engaged? Welcome to the time of exuberant and blissful happiness!

Who best to capture this joyous time of life than an excellent engagement photographer. You will need someone who can freeze this time and show off your adoring affection for one another. So what are the qualifications you should look for?

First of all, they need to be friendly and make you two feel comfortable. If you aren't comfortable with your photographer, how are you going to be yourself and enjoy kissing your fiance in front of a stranger? They should be able to calm the nerves and make it easy to just act naturally. Once you are in your own world, they will capture the magic between you and your fiance's glistening eyes.

Next, the engagement photographer needs to be able to flatter you and make you look your very best. These pictures will be sent to all your friends and family, so you obviously want to look good. This is achieved by a photographer with knowledge of working with people all shapes and sizes and knows many poses and angles to flatter them. For example, if you are self-conscience about your body, you wouldn't want an endless amount of full-body shots or up-close and personal shots if you dislike your shape. You should be able to voice your concerns to the photographer and they should be able to accommodate that and assure you that you'll be very pleased.

Third, creativity is excellent, but you don't want a photographer that forgets to get some good, old fashioned traditional shots. Your friends and family especially will want to see you and your fiance's faces, besides all the kissy and angled shots. It is the best to have a variety of all types so you can create announcements that people can see you two and also have some fun, special ones. You need the best of both worlds!

Fourth, they should know of some great and creative locations for the photo shoot. You should be able to choose what type of feel you're going for, whether it is nature, pastoral, old buildings, train tracks, etc. This way, your personality will be emphasized by the location and therefore make the pictures even better.

Lastly, make sure whoever you choose does not take forever. Some photographers think that three hours or more is necessary to create amazing shots. If that's the case, then they don't know how to use their surroundings very efficiently. Your mouth shouldn't be sore after an engagement session, you should have had fun, but happy that the session is over. No one wants to take pictures for too long, so look for someone who does a session in a reasonable amount of time and has excellent results.
