Research the Spa Venue
If you're looking forward to a spa day, spa break or spa weekend but have never been to that venue before, Luxury-spa-breaks.com recommend undertaking a little bit of research on the venue. For each of our spas we provide everything you need to know for your spa visit from opening times to directions.
On Arrival
When you arrive at your chosen spa venue please ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated treatment time. This time is needed for you to check in with the venue and fill in the compulsory short health questionnaire this will give your therapist as much information about you as possible to make your experience as comfortable and safe as possible.
You should also use this time to get changed into your robe and slippers and relax before your treatment begins alternatively you can begin enjoying the facilities.
Treatment Preferences
When you hand your health questionnaire back to your therapist, this is when you should inform them of any particular preferences you may have for your treatment. These may include the gender of the therapist, the strength of massage or any muscle groups you would prefer to be left alone.
What Should You Wear?
Day spa guests can change into a provided robe in the spa area. Residential spa guests (on an overnight spa break) will often find a robe and slippers in their room, which you can then walk through the venue to the spa in.
During the treatment you may wish to wear your swimming clothes or underwear. Some spas also provide disposable underwear for you to use. Please note that your modesty will be protected at all times your body will be covered, except for the area that your therapist will be working on.
Mobile Phones
Spa areas are relaxing, ambient environments, therefore please ensure that your mobile phone is switched of at all times when in the spa area.
Noise Levels
To keep in with the therapeutic ambience of the spa and out of respect for the other spa guests at the spa venue, please keep noise levels to a minimum. You will enjoy your day much more if the ambience is kept as it should be.
Relax
When you are at a spa, you should feel as relaxed as possible. Therefore if there is anything you are not comfortable with, then please let your therapist or a member of staff know as soon as possible.
Then all that's left to do is relax, unwind and rejuvenate.
