A New Space In Springtime

Spring is here; and that means it is time to renew your house and empty it of all

the clutter and stagnancy that may have accumulated during the long winter months. With the sun shining brighter and warmer, it is time to open the windows and air out all the rooms as you make your way through the home with your dust cloth and cleaning sprays.

Spring cleaning does not have to be an overwhelming task. In fact, in most homes, it isn't. However, there are small things you can do in the spring to make a huge difference in how your rooms look and feel.

Clutter does not belong in any home. It plays tricks on your mind and has a negative affect on your productivity. In fact, when your home is cluttered, you may even experience a mood that is not at its best. Go through your home and throw out papers that fill up drawers and counters. Even go through knick-knacks that have been crowding counters and tables and throw out items that you no longer look at. A clutter-free home is a relaxing home.

In the bedrooms, springtime is a great time to make changes big and small. Mattresses are a big change; but a necessary one. Instead of sticking with the same old routine, consider how an organic mattress may feel and impact your rooms. With an organic mattress, you get all the comfort you would get from a standard mattress - if not more. An organic mattress can be made with materials such as latex, cotton and / or wool. All of the materials used are chemical free and some are even biodegradable.

The greatest feature of the latex mattress, however, has got to be the fact that dust mites cannot live in the material. That means that your room is a healthier place as well as one that is comfortable. Even people who have an allergy to latex have reported sleeping well on this type. This is likely because most latex mattresses contain latex at the core of the mattress and feature a layer of material between the latex and you.

When you go through your home in springtime, you will find ample places where dust may have accumulated. With a good spray and cloth, wipe down all surfaces and ceiling fans to get rid of dust that will irritate your eyes, nose and throat. For hard surface floors, dust can be sucked up with a special vacuum. Carpets should be vacuumed with a new vacuum bag so that dust does not escape through tiny holes in the cleaner bag.

The rewards of spring cleaning are great. The time it takes to tidy up is nothing compared to the months of fresh air uncluttered space you get to enjoy.
