A Nurse Refresher Course From Phes Prepares You To Re-enter Your Field With Confidence

Nurses who have taken time off for family related or other issues may feel a bit unconfident when returning to a clinical setting

. PHES can help you to regain confidence in your nursing abilities. We offer a nurse refresher course that will provide you with education about any treatment or technologies that may have been introduced during your absence. Our courses are designed to refresh your nursing skills and prepare you for re-entry into the workforce. We began in 2001 providing Board of Nursing nurse remediation and expanded to offering nurse refresher courses in 2003.

We offer an LVN refresher course that will fine-tune your nursing abilities and give you the skills and confidence that you need to once again enjoy working in your chosen field. Since 2003, more than 500 nurses have successfully completed our refresher courses and have gone on to work in a variety of healthcare settings including outpatient clinics, home care and acute care facilities. Our classes are limited to just 20 nurses each which gives our instructors the one-on-one time that they need to ensure that all nurses have the opportunity to hone their skills. We want our nursing students to feel empowered with the education that they receive and to feel completely ready to once again perform their nursing duties.

Whether you need our LVN or RN refresher course, we will ensure that you receive the education needed to gain back your confidence. Your studies will begin with DVD lessons at home and then move on to classroom work and lectures. Once you have successfully completed these steps of the refresher course, you will move into a clinical setting where you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. We offer two locations for your practicum including the Windsong Nursing and Rehab Facility in Pearland, TX and the Grace Care Nursing Home in Katy, TX.

The affiliation site is chosen for each nurse depending on the length of time you have been away from nursing, your future plans and your personal preferences as well as availability. Nurses who successfully complete our refresher courses receive certificates of completion as well as 20 hours of continued education. Topics of review include anatomy, terminology, diagnostics and pathophysiology critical thinking as well as refreshers on other subjects.
