Admission Process For Management Institutes In India
The most sought after post graduate degree/ diploma in management requires a bachelors degree as minimum qualification
. Most Management colleges and institutes in India require a candidate to have a minimum of a bachelors degree which is of three year duration and awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC.
There is also a minimum percentage that is required for admission which differs from one Institute to another. Some require a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation while others do not have a minimum percentage, just requires the candidate to pass in the qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories are given a relaxation in percentage by 5% by most Institutes.
In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
There are few institutes that require minimum full time work experience to apply for their post graduate programmes such as those meant for working executives. The work experience can range anything from one year to five years or more depending the course and institute requirement. The work experience certificate has to be produced at the time of interview, certified by authority from the organization worked for.
If you belong to SC/ST or OBC categories, your caste/tribe must be listed in the Government of India schedule. The caste certificate must be shown and a photocopy enclosed at the time of interviews. If you belong to Differently Abled (DA) Category, a copy of the DA certificate must be shown and a photocopy enclosed at the time of interviews.
