Unemployment is at the highest it has been for decades and the economy is being equated to being worse than The Great Depression. Even before the economy turned sour individuals turned to the Internet to earn money online. Unfortunately the majority of the individuals and groups who have turned to the Internet to operate their business and programs online have turned a deaf hear to online marketing education and training. The misconception that most have as far as being able to operate a business without proper training is not only discouraging but it is one of the main reasons why individuals think of scams and schemes because people fail to properly take the time to learn. Why do we send children to school for at least 13 years (from Kindergarten to 12th grade)? When a person is hired, why do you think they have on the job training? Why do companies small and large send their employees to personal development seminars and technical trainings? Why is it that students are evaluated on their performance which comes in the form of a grade card or transcript? Why is it that employees are monitored and evaluated quarterly, bi-annually or annually? When a person decides they want to be an engineer and work for Boeing aircraft, will Boeing hire someone with no experience and no education? If a stay at home mom or dads decides that they want to start a candle making business will they just start making the candles and selling them or will they learn how to make candles and learn how to properly set up their home based business? Children attend school to learn how to live productive lives. Children go to school to learn how to socialize and communicate with people. Children go to school to realize their dreams of who and what they want to be when they are adults. Companies send employees to seminars to empower and enrich the employee and to produce results for the company. Evaluation is conducted for students and employees to see if they are producing results and to check to see if they are learning before they can move up a grade or before an employee can be promoted. There is no way to get around this unless you have someone else who has the knowledge and experience to do it for you. Education and training is the real gold mine. For some reason when individuals come online seeking income opportunities they believe they will not have to learn anything. They believe they will not have to do anything but invest in a business, build the website and wait for someone to find their listing out of the billions of listings online and buy. This is so far from the truth however people truly have this type of mindset. Education and training must be involved for anyone who really wants to effectively market a business online. What does it mean to earn income online? Keeping it simple look at the eBay model. People list items on eBay. When people buy items on eBay they purchase those items mainly by PayPal which will electronically process payments online. Also people have the option to send a check or money order if they have not changed this feature. Thus business owners will say they derive all of their income from online transactions. Learning how to market a business online is the same way it is when learning how to start a business offline. It takes education and training. The areas an individual will need to learn about are: building websites, building capture pages, blogging, social bookmarking, article marketing, video marketing, pod casting, keyword research, search engine optimization, how to promote a product or business, backlinking, how to write sales copy, press releases, and more. Yes its overwhelming and a lot of information, however it is possible to learn because individuals are doing it everyday. It really comes down to how bad you want to succeed. What characteristics should a person have in order to learn how to effectively market online? The person needs to have basic common sense which means if someone says you can make one million dollars in two days with no experience common sense will tell you that is not true. The person needs to know how to ask questions, be wise on finding an honest person who will train and teach, be coachable and not argumentative, find a group of like minded individuals who have the same goals and join that group, be willing to invest in personal development products, and show up to the online trainings and webinars. Also individuals need to be consistent, persistent and not be easily discouraged to the point where they will quit. In conclusion, there are effective training products and services that will fit every budget. It is advised to look for affordable Internet marketing training.
