Every service that we consume has a price. Nothing in the world is for free. You have to pay for every good and service that you want. Air conditioners being goods also have a price. Once we pay to buy the equipment, which can cost us from a minimum of $3500 till a maximum of $8000. After buying the equipment there are installation costs. This cost depends on the service provider. We also pay for using the air conditioner i.e. its service cost. This cost can vary, depending on the source of energy we are using.For those who use air conditioning units, which work with electricity pay electric bills every month. Electricity bills have increased in the recent years. It is also expected that they will increase more in the coming years. The undeveloped countries face power shortage due to which problems like load shedding and increase in the electricity rates are generated. Most of the countries are undeveloped and they face energy crisis. There will come a time when the entire world will face power shortage because our electricity consumption rate is too much. Another way for the air-conditioner to work is using gas. Gas is somewhat cheaper than electricity. But gas air conditioners leave a lot of smell. And using gas is not that safe as they are can catch fire easily. Some people say that cooling equipment which work with gas does not provide enough cooling where as heaters which work using gas are very effective. Talking about air conditioning costs, then using gas air conditioners is more cost effective. We also have solar air conditioners, which work using suns natural rays. Installing solar air conditioners is very expensive and is not affordable for everyone but there are no service costs for such air conditioners. However they require maintenance. Water air conditioners use water to change the temperature of the environment. They some times use electricity and some times gas. Water air conditioners are cheaper to use because once the water has boiled the compressor shuts down and the air blown out stays hot until the water cools down.There fore the use of air conditioners is expensive we should use different ways to cut down our air conditioning costs. One way could be we should shut off the equipment when our room has reached the desired temperature. Some people leave the machines running which changes the temperature to the extreme i.e. more than the desired level. People also tend to leave air conditioners on and go to sleep the room cools too much and they feel cold while they are asleep. To prevent this from happening we can set timers on our machines. The timer will automatically switch the machine off after the assigned number of hours. Second hand air conditioners are also available. These are the machines, which have been used for a while and then sold to the shopkeepers. First hand air conditioning costs are way more than the second hand ones. If buying a first hand unit is too expensive then we can also buy a second hand machine.
