Are SEO Articles Still Important in 2011?

Are SEO Articles Still Important in 2011?

Well maybe. Let me explain:

The primary purpose behind any electronic content being search engine optimized is to get attention...lot's of it. The more ways internet users can find you, the more visitors you'll have at your website. The higher your website is ranked in search engine results, the more visitors you'll have at your website. Do this and you're well on your way to becoming an information rock star.

Easy, right? Not so fast. In pursuit of this goal, many people have begun creating some pretty fluffy content. They master how to write an attention-grabbing title so they can suck you in, but all you get in return for your attention is vague, uninspired, recycled...crap. Then, they actually have the nerve to ask you to click on the link below for more information (crap).

I'm sorry, too many SEO articles are lifeless with no soul, clumsily stuffed with keywords and phrases as if that is the sole magical formula to success. It's obvious these writers have been overly schooled with the latest optimization techniques: keyword density, indexation metrics, relevance threshold, etc. Sure, these things certainly have their importance, but it's just so, well...mathematical.

Perhaps we should get back to good old fashioned, organic writing. You know, writing from the heart with your reader in mind first. So are SEO articles still important? Yes, they are if your article...

Is relevant with pinpoint focus. Be sure your information directly connects with the subject matter. Support your article with solid, up to date facts.

Gets to the point (Unlike this post -- I was in a ranting mood). People may not necessarily want to read your long-winded personal opinions. Remember, they were searching for your topic, not you.

Has unique, quality content. Have your SEO article present new, innovative ideas and solutions, anything different from the other 8462749175892472 sites that are going on about the exact same thing you are.

Tells me what to do next. When I'm in a Las Vegas buffet, I don't need help choosing what to put on my plate, but when I come to your website for information...I need help, and right now. Give me direction. Advise me please.

Uses good SEO techniques. Hey, I didn't say to ignore them, just don't lose the focus of your intended message. The bottom line is there should be a happy marriage between being SEO-educated and writing high-quality articles that are useful and informative. Master this, do it consistently, and your followers will ultimately come.

By the way, the keyword density of this article is a miserable 0.94% (*sigh*)
