Arizona Construction Is Picking Up For The New Years 2011
Arizona's construction industry has suffered almost more than any other state in the US
. Construction was hit hardest in the state of Arizona during the recession because much of the pre-recession housing boom has ceased. Arizona is a unique state that many people owning houses here also live somewhere else during the hot summers.
These people, sometimes referred to as snow birds, have had to make budget cuts to accommodate the effects of the recession on their wallets. One of the largest expenses to be cut for many of them were their second homes in Arizona.
Needless to say that has hurt the construction of new homes, but it hit even the economy in Arizona every harder with the loss of these winter residents. Without the money of these affluent snow birds being pumped into the economy has helped to cause even less money to be left for the construction industry.
One of the most severely affected construction industries in Arizona was the roofing sector. It was so bad for the roofing industry many of the areas largest companies had folded and moved out to other states. With so many houses being foreclosed on in the Arizona area, people didn't care what their roofs looked like even if their house was in bad repair.
With the Enormous hail storm that swept through the Phoenix area in October the Roofing industry is doing surprisingly well. There are most of the usually small roofing companies having growing lists of customers needing a new roof.
Another sector that his growing for the construction industry in Arizona is the Solar instillation and New Construction. There are 2 large solar fields that have recently been announced in the news in the state of Arizona. Some companies that install solar panels in residential and commercial buildings are reporting record growth.
