Ashraf The New Chairman Of Pakistan Cricket Board Revises Pcb Reforms
Pakistan cricket is doing really well and is in highlights
. PCB has appointed new chairman for the Pakistani cricket. Latest cricket leader said that his main concern will be to reinstate the country's status following a slew of damaging fixing claims and disciplinary issues that has been the main agenda and disgrace for the Pakistani cricket in the previous years.
The chairman said, My focus will be to revive the lost glory in Pakistan cricket," Ashraf's ancestor Ijaz Butt's three-year possession was disfigured by bad domination, a spot-fixing disgrace and argument over players' regulation.
Ashraf said he will need time to fix on his own policy. "I need about two to three months to settle down, study the system before making any decisions accordingly," he said. The 59-year-old undertakes to seek recommendation from former greats, like Imran Khan, who was a great player.
"I intend to get all the legends of cricket in Pakistan on board to hear their suggestions for improving both domestic and international cricket, and I plan to meet Imran Khan after October 30," said Ashraf.
Ashraf, who is the chief Pakistan's major agriculture progress bank before taking over as cricket leader, also support all-rounder Shahid Afridi recurring to the team subsequent his sequestration U-turn after Butt's discharge. Ashraf said "In my personal view, Afridi is a good one-day player, so I will meet him and then take a decision on him,"
Afridi declared his sequestration in May after Butt discharge him as one-day captain. Afridi had declared not to play under Butt as chairman. The PCB suspended Afridi's agreement and withdrawal authorization for him to play abroad, permit which the all-rounder confronted in court.
But the issue was complete after a confidential meeting between Butt and Afridi, with the all-rounder emerged before a PCB penalizing committee and fined $US53,000 ($A49,500) for violating of contract.
Afridi last week proclaimed he was ready to play for Pakistan. He is expected to return to the team for the five one-day games and a Twenty20 against Sri Lanka which follow the current three-match Test series in the United Arab Emirates. Ashraf said he will also progress Pakistan's domestic cricket and academies.
