The tops of the shoes have a mesh material which gives the shoes the lightweight design and feel, as well as allowing your feet to breath. The shoes also dry fast fabric that is a real nice touch if you happen to get splashed with puddle or run through on. Inside the shoe is a mid sole cushion absorber called ENCAP. It runs from the mid sole to the heel to add extra support to the heel and ankle preventing any strains or springs of the ankle. This shoe also has ABZORBS technology which cushions and cradles the foot inside the shoe giving it the ultimate comfort and acting as a bit of a shock absorber if you will. Your feet are not the only thing affected from running and walking, or standing all day. It starts in the feet and then creeps up into your legs, the back, so if you're getting good feet support all the other ailment will disappear. The sole is made from blown rubber which gives the shoe a non slip grip, and while these shoes do okay in mild terrain you may not want to any major off trail hiking in these shoes.
