Attractive Events In Rio de Janeiro In January 2011 PART 1

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is often seen by tourists from all over the world as the ultimate travel destination. The reason behind this trend is because the city has a lot of potential, offering interesting, fun and relaxing activities through the entire year. What made Rio even more popular are the lovely beaches, the unique nightlife as well as other things like the wonderful atmosphere, good food and others. With these two articles we will try to review what will happen in Rio de Janeiro next month. We will start off with an annual event, called Feira do Rio Antigo, which will be organized on the first day of January 2011. Here the Rua do Lavradio will transform into an antique market dubbed the Feira do Rio Antigo. At the market shoppers will have the possibility to browse through approximately 100 stalls, restaurants, bars and extend their chairs and tables onto the pavement. The market will be open between 10 AM 6 PM. A weekly event will be held on January 2nd at Feira Hippie, Rio de Janeiro. The Feira Hippie (Hippie Market) takes place every Sunday in the Praca General Osorio in Ipanema and it was first organized back in 1968. For those tourists interested, the place will gather people that sell toys, furniture, clothes, musical instruments, jewelry, handcrafts and paintings. The address for this event is Praca General Osorio, Ipanema and it will be open between 7 AM 7 PM. One of the most important events of January in Rio de Janeiro will be the annual Rio Fashion Week which will be held between 11th and 15th of the month. This is the place to be if you want to watch beautiful women sashaying down a catwalk, wearing the latest trends from the most important fashion designers. The event will have it all, from bikinis to ponchos, this is the place to be if you want to get your fashion inspiration. The show will take place in venues spread through the entire city, including some rather unusual outdoor space. Another important annual event is the Salao Bike Show which will be organized from 14 16 January 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Salao Bike Show will be the home of the most high quality motorbike as well as cycling products at RioCentro in Rio de Janeiro. Besides bikes and the most modern accessories for them, the show will have biking entertainment and a chance to have a word with some of the professionals that will be attending the event in January.
