You can set up autoresponders to message people yearly whenever an occasion arrives. If you want to make customers feel like you remember them (and to let them know you are still there), you could send them a message when its their birthday. So every year your autoresponder sends your customers a personalised birthday message automatically (If you decide to do this remember to take down their birthday when collecting their subscriber information).

If you don't have much time on your hands but you want to keep a good relationship with your customers, you can set up your autoresponder to build a relationship with your customers. You also want them to know you are still out there. You can do this by sending your customer weekly emails.
